Psalm 42

I say to God my rock, “Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about taunted by my enemy?”
Voices question me, saying, Where is your God?
Where is your God?

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls
And all of your waves have swept over me
No piece of myself is the way that it was before
The roar of your voice tells my soul that it’s free.
and voices question me, saying, Where is your God?
Where is your God?

Why are you downcast my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise my healer and my God
I will yet praise you, the God of my life, you’re the God of my life.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls
And all of your waves have swept over me
No piece of myself is the way that it was before
The roar of your voice tells my soul that it’s free.

The secret places of my heart
Sometimes burst the doors and race off toward your ocean shores, at last
I’ve put my hope in you, and I will yet praise you, my savior and my God
I will yet praise you, the God of my life, you’re the God of my life.
